"We light this chalice
to celebrate Unitarian Universalism.
This is the church of the open mind,
This is the church of the helping hands,
This is the church of the loving heart."
This fall, we are trying something new!!
As usual, the children (aged 4 - 12) will spend the first part of the service in the main sanctuary with
the adults. Then, they will depart and gather together in the newly redecorated Chalice Room to have their own Sunday Service.
The children's order of service will be
Welcoming Words
Light the Chalice
Sing a song
Read the children's affirmation (our promise to each other)
Share joys and concerns
Listen to a story that illustrates a UU principle
Talk about the story
Sing a song and dance
Blow out the chalice
Say the Closing/Good-bye Words
Children's
Version of the UU Principles and Beliefs
If you would like to be an adult leader of the service (we need two each Sunday--so you will never be left on your own!),
please sign up in the hall on the RE bulletin board--
