FairTrade Coffee from Guatemala: The UUSC Coffee Project

Panchoy Valley, Coffee-growing region in Guatemala

What IS
Fair Trade Coffee?

More than 700 Unitarian Universalist congregations across the country are putting their values into action by combining their Sunday morning coffee hour with social justice.

These UU congregations are participating in the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee Coffee Project. In partnership with Equal Exchange, a worker-owned cooperative, the UUSC Coffee Project promotes the use of fairly traded products and receives a small percentage of the proceeds to provide grants for human rights initiatives in coffee-growing countries.

UU Waco is one of these participating congregations!

Now, right in our very own kitchen, you can purchase
great tasting, fair trade coffee that has been
produced by farmers who are paid a fair wage. It's
EASY!!

This coffee has passed the test of some pretty picky
pallets in our church. IT IS DELICIOUS COFFEE!!

All bags are $7.00. Mugs are $3.00. With every
purchase, you support our church and coffee
farmers.

Place your check in the container on the display
(please write "coffee" on it).

Skip the grocery store and Buy Your Coffee at Church!
